Not Really "Tech Related", But ...........

For all you "youngsters" out there, a real Chevy icon, Bill (Grumpy) Jenkins ........ passed away yesterday. :-(

That's sad, Grumpy Jenkins and the "Grumpy's Toys" have made historic contributions to the NHRA and the drag racing community. My father has always been a huge fan of his Vega's. Rest in peace Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins.

"Father of Pro Stock" ...... I will always remember him more for "the Old Reliable" 409 cars. Very good story about him and a replica 61 Biscayne 409 recently, but I forget which mag it was in.

It really is a shame, in the past few years we've lost some real racing legends, "Dyno" Don Nicholson, Scott Kalitta, Joe "Dr. Oldsmobile" Mondello, and now Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins. R.I.P.
