So now is the time to finally install a cam. I have the cc503, 1.6 rockers, hardened pushrods, be-hive springs, ect. how do you think it will do with full bolt ons?

A4 or M6?

Running Non self aligning rockers or Self Aligning?

If NSA you need to run pushrod guide plates.

Self aligning rockers are go to ~6200 rpm. Anything higher and they just can't keep the alignment.

If it were me, I would just run non-self aligning and guide plates. Added sense of security. Also I would run 7/16 stud over the factory 3/8 stud. Simple just buy new studs and switch them out. So if you bought chromoly push rods all you need is guide plates and non self aligning rockers.

Full bolt ons? A little more info there maybe. If auto, will you get a torque converter too?

I have an M6 I got sa rockers. Not really worried about Going higher than 6200 rpms. One thing I am worried about is the tune. Would it be safe to drive without a tune or can I run /should I run a mail order tune?

You can do it without a tune but I wouldn't recommend it.

Depending on cam you lose low RPM VE and gain top end.(When in SD mode, need to alter MAF tables in MAF mode) So at low end it thinks more air is coming in then what is so it adds a bunch of fuel making you rich, then you run the top end it thinks less air is coming in then really is. So then you go lean. Lean is bad, but being super rich is just as bad. Detonation, cylinder wash, bad stuff.

You can run a mail order tune it will be close but it won't be perfect obviously.

Don't drive it untuned youre taking an unnecessary risk. I have the SAME exact setup that I installed 2 weeks ago and I'm currently working the bugs out of. I went with Madz28 for my email tune and he's been very helpful.
