Default AFR head porting

Dropped off a spare LT1 block yesterday at a machine shop to have a forged 383 built. I'm gonna have my AFR 195 heads ported. Who would you guys recommend do the head work? Does Advanced Inductions or Lloyd Elliot work on AFR castings?

What were the CC's after porting, ~210-215?

195 is an awfully small head for a 396, but I know the AFRs have a ton of meat that can be removed.

I appreciate your interest, but not anymore. It just isn't worth putting $ into them most of the time. Guys online tend to think aftermarket castings are invariably superior, and will typically pay enough for used aftermarket heads that you can be well on your way to a much better head - like the 200cc CNC'd GM LT1. Good luck with your project!

Ported LT4 intake and custom tuned PCM optimized for the last set-up. Will get another dyno-tune on the new motor.
