Default gm847 or LE 232/240

I'm kinda stuck between these two cams. I'm wanting to swap out my cc306 and I have a chance of getting either a LE 232/240 .578/.574 110 lsa or a gm847 for a decent price. I haven't been able to find much on the LE cam, but have heard a lot about the gm847. I'm just wondering of what you guys think would perform better on the street and strip. My car is a 383 with stock ported heads and is by no means a daily driver. Let me know what you guys think.

LE cam all the way, don't get me wrong the 847 is a Great Cam.......However, I believe the LE design will make more power at a lower RPM.

If you are doing a cam swap because of getting a "decent" price then you probably shouldn't swap the cam right now...

Being as you have a 383, i would chose something around the XFI 292 range.... AI and LE also have great cams that would net you better results than just swapping a cam because of a good price. just my .02

I was actually looking into getting either a gm847 or xfi 292, but came across the gm cam and le cam for a decent price. I've heard some good stuff about the 292, but have also heard of a lot of bad stuff about it. I'm not getting a cam because I'm "getting a decent price". i know what i want and i've done my homework. I just haven't heard much about the le cam i'm looking at and wanted to make sure it was a good cam.

well the LE cam is a good cam.... not the best option for your size of motor but still good.

I just wouldn't put a cam that is for a street 383 in a car that isn't a street car...
