Default 93 to 97 block

Well i have a93 T/A and i am putting cam and heads on. And i realize after the breakdown its only a few more bolts to remove the motor which has 187k on it. But i have a stock sortblock in the garage with 52k on it. So my 93 parts should fit the 97 block right? ie: oil pump drive, timing cover, cam with the other cam pin, timing cover, intake from 93 should fit 97 heads, anything i missed? I know 93 cars are different in many ways but i think it all should work...thanks

Knock sensors are a little different so swap it.
Make sure to remove the CPS reluctor and use the 93 hub or leave it and use the 97 hub.

Use the 97 cover. It'll allow you to upgrade to the vented optispark. Leave the CPS in or block it off - it won't hurt anything. Either remove the reluctor ring and use your 93 hub or leave it in and use the 97 hub.

I didn't get the 97 cover with the motor. I got a lt4 gm block off covers to run a carb. My old motor i beat the hell out of it and it stayed together just fine. Now i am putting another bullitt in the chamber and do not know much about it, i hope this on stays together cause im gonna beat the holy $ out of it too.

Are you still running the 93 computer? Im not sure about T/A's but i know that 93 camaro were SD. If you are planing upgrading your car with performace parts, you should upgrade to a 94 - 95 computer with a MFS so you can tune it. You can tune a 93 computer with a chip, but have to buy a new chip every time you tune it.
