96 Camaro z28 rough driving and rough idle
#21
Yes took it to the shop, said bad starter, bad opti, and timing chain gasket needed to be replaced because it was leaking oil all over opti. $570 later, it is going to be fixed. And yes I know I'm getting ripped, but I'm a die hard fan and would pay it for the camaro. Basically mint, no scratches or dings on factory paint and 103,xxx miles. $400 of that is for the car for 12 months and the 80 is insurance through the company

Don't let them change the starter yet. I bet you money the starter is fine and just wouldn't spin the motor b/c the battery got run down from repeated starting attempts. Though $570 isn't too bad for all that. Though they'll probably put a shitty opti on it. And according to KBB, $5000 for the car is pretty good, overall, even after $600 of repairs.
