Default Cam Swap Questions

What all would one need to do a cam swap for our cars?
Here is the list that I came up with:
Cam (Comp XFI 466 or 467)
30# Injectors
Timing Cover Gasket Set
Header Gaskets
Valve cover Gaskets
Oil Pan Gasket
Head Gaskets
Head Bolts
Intake Bolts
Intake Gaskets
Coolant
Cam break in oil
Oil
Tune

Would it be worthwhile to up the throttle body size and/or a ported intake?

Would I need upgraded pushrods?

Should I swap lifters since mine have ~96K miles?

Thanks!

I wouldnt do injectors. The stock 1s will be fine. Go with a .026 thick head gasket also. I would worry with tb or intake portin at ur level either. U would gain much.

As mentioned, your 24# stock injectors are good enough(94-97 LT1's), 22# for 93 LT1's.
New valve springs, pushrods, lifters, nsa 1.6 rockers and guide plates.

Why change head gaskets for just a CAM swap?

Roller lifters don't need break in oil. If you're careful you don't need to change the oil pan gasket either. Just loosen the oil pan bolts from the front to the rear until the front of the pan drops enough to clear the timing cover.
Check out shoeboxs' excellent site for info:

So you think the cam would need to move away from the self aligning RR's? I wasn't thinking they would be needed until I rebuilt the entire motor and would be spinning high RPMs.
