is there an easier way to do plugs?

Headers. Haha. I reach majority from the top the 8 cylinder from the bottom and cylinder 2 is best if you remove the alternator or use the spark plug socket with a wrench on the end.

SLPs are horrible for access =(. On topic there really isnt an easy way to do it, just make sure you have one of those spark plug sockets with the end you can use an open ended wrench on. Makes it much easier

Ok I cant speak on behalf of shorties exactly. Becuz i have the stocker manifolds.
But I knock down the Ypipe everytime now and after doing so....I can drop all the plugs with no busted knuckles in less than an hour. hell i think it might have been less than half.
I have done this now twice in a row. I will never go back to not doing it...I keep the ypipe nuts in good shape and wd-40 or the other silicon spray a few minutes before I knock it down. That takes about 15 minutes at most.
You can get to all 4 of the passenger side if im not mistaken from the bottom.
And on the driver side the rear 2. It becomes almost preference for the ones that were kinda hard. And for the hard ones well the difference is almost night and day.
do not touch the starter.
A reg. short wobbly ext may be needed and a reg short ext.
Drop the ypipe.
<=2hrs total. (Pre gapped plugs)

Also you have to pull the alternator to get plug #2 IIRC.

I do them all from the top, for #6 I have a cut-down socket that I use a wrench on, 2 and 4 I can do with a ratchet, the rest are with regular length socketand wrench.

Yeah I can do the drivers side no problem with a socket wrench and socket. I'm gonna try the passenger side today LOL! I almost want to order long tubes before even doing it. But I was also thinking about taking one of my older spark plug sockets and welding a gear wrench onto it so it is like a socket wrench LOL!

2,4,6,8,1,&3 from the top. I have Pacesetter LT and all I use is a spark plug socket and a 3/4" wrench. I do not remove the alternator or anything from the right side. To access 5 &7 I put the car in the air...takes another 15 minutes start to finish on those two plugs. The entire job can be done in 45 minutes once you do it a couple of times. I used to dread doing plugs, now I change them once sometimes twice a month depending on the # of times I go to the track.
