For $80 you could have gotten a sleeve kit for the stock input. My tranny guy suggested I put a sleeved input in mine when it began getting quick like 6 years ago. Still running mid 11s at 4200lbs on an unmodified input cutting 1.5 short times, the short times where what worried my tranny guy the most. Tranny is over 8 years old and built for a MUCH milder setup.
I have stock servos, stock planetaries, some stock clutches. This tranny needs clearances set right, NOT a lot of "upgraded" parts.
Some of the GM upgrades are actually upgrades to their bottom line by using cheaper powdered metal parts where the 4L60E had forged like the planetary gears. The "upgrade" is actually rated to less rpm than the 4-pinion which almost nobody breaks anyway, very popular "upgrade" though.
