Hi, im about to take of my pass side manifold to install my pacesetter longtube on a 96 z28. The driver side is already on. Will I have to remove the plugs and wires to get the manifold out and to get the header in? Will the header go in from the top with dipstick, alternator, valve cover off? It seems like the ac lines are in the way.

Thats what I figured, thanks for letting me know. On the driver side I didnt take off the plugs till the manifold was loose and they were a pain to get off with it in the way. Ill be taking the valve cover off anyway to paint it.

I put my headers in from the bottom. I have no experience putting them in from the top, but visually it looks like it would be more difficult, at least to me. Did you install the drivers side header yourself?

I got the driver side header in myself, I had just heard of a couple people who got there passenger header in from the top, seems like it would be easy to just not have to jack the car up so high.

I could not get it in from the top without removing everything!!
From the bottom just get it as high as you can, remove the starter, slide the dipstick tube out (after removing the bolt), the Alt Brace that comes down the the first manifold bolt, plugs, and wires. I like to remove the plug from the knock sensor so I don't tear it up sliding it in.
