Default accel gen 6 issues

I have a problem with my car shutting down at 6700 rpm. Here is the list

383 lt1
accel gen 6 dfi (have to be the problem)
264/270 @ .050" .680" lift
TH400 trans
These are just basics

Makes peak power at 7300 rpm at the wheels. This problem started one day on the dyno vary intermittenly then just started to do it every time. All ignition parts (opti/coil/ect.) were replaced. Has any one have an idea or had this problem? It would be nice to fix the gen 6 so I don't have to put FAST on it. Im leaning to this problem being the dfi but i guess it could be sensor related too. gen 6 does not have any diagnosis functions on it so this is a guess and check issue I think. I also changed the dfi unit and it changed for one pass. I hit 7600 rpm and the car came to an idle for 10 sec., then died on it's own. after that, it did it's normal thing of completly shutting off at the 6700 mark. Any input would be great!

What does the fuel pressure do at this rpm? What duty cycle are the inj. at?

This is sort of off topic, but how much power are you making with this thing? (264/270 cam . . . WOW).

i need to recheck fuel pressure and duty cycle on the injectors. i don't currently have the software for the DFI and thats another reason im having problems finding this problem.

The car only made 423hp at the wheels but the heads suck abd the DFI tune is messed up because of this problem. The car was run as it sits shifting at 6200rpm and ran an 11.21 @ 121. Car makes peak power at 7300rpm so it was shifted way early. Once the DFI is tuned with no problems and the heads are done, it should go 10.50 @ 125 with the looser converter, around 5000 rpm or so.

With a cam that big and revving that high, I would have expected 500rwhp no problem. Maybe not with an auto car, but close, anyway. Afraid I don't really know how to help with your problem, though. My first guess would be that your opti is taking a crap. I know my old one missed at high rpms. If you've already ruled that out . . . no idea.

Here's the DFI software.... if you don't have it, you'll also need to get a tuning cable from Summit or Jegs.

thanks for the software, this should help alot. Just need to get my labtop set up so i can download. i do have the tuning cable.

The car should make 450-475 rear wheel power through a th400 with a good tune and a vary good set of heads. (on the way) I just need to fix this problem first before i change anything else. I also need to find time too, any have some i could have?
