Question this a problem???

i just got my 94 T/A (a4) a month ago.. its really costing me and acouple things have gone wrong. when i put it in drive theres a very noticable click or knocking noise.. pretty loud like 2 pieces of metal clanging. anyone have this prob before?? it just started afew days ago and im afriad its going to turn into something costly with my trans. any help or input is very appreciated.

does it make the same sound when you accelerate enough to make the car downshift? sounds like a tranny mount. other than that could be your u-joints both an easy and cheap fix

I don't know... a tranny mount would be a kick or thud more than a clicking noise. May be something internal in the tranny, or it could just be a quirk and not affect you at all. I really don't know...

yeah, im hoping its a cheap fix or nothing at all.. im not one lately to really jump on my car (because gas is rediculous) but today i gave my friend a ride and i hit it for him and right before it shifts into 2 the engine hesitates.. almost cuts off for about a second.. then shifts into second.. actually did it once in the lower rpms when i got on it again. any idea what that could be???
