Hahahaha wow. I'm standing here wondering if my car will ever get its key turned again because I can't find a replacement dipstick tube after rebuilding and reassembling the whole front end and being utterly frustrated that every essential part for this car is out of production. Guess I am really not doing too bad in comparison. Thanks for the motivation! If you guys can make a running street able car out of that then I don't have a leg to stand on.
I'd love to finally take this car to the strip (never been).

Thanks for the offer but I found my old one. Always seems to be another bucket of parts hidden in the corner of the garage. Right now the rear end and gas tank is out, just sandblasted, cleaned and painted the tank. Gunna install the racetronix kit and reinstall that. I got a new rear out of an 02 ss that I just have to put Lt1 backing plates on and put in my car. Maybe some nice paint. 1) Any chance I have to worry about the reluctor wheels on each side of the new rear? My old rear doesn't have them. 2) Any advice on swapping backing plates. The write ups I have seen on going to LS brakes haven't made me much more confident in going to LS brakes and I don't want to have any fitment issues when everything is going back in.

Well I got the rear end back in, the engine block is finished being machined, and the rotating assembly is being balanced today. Short block could be together by the end of the weekend.
Now I have to figure out how to get the front hubs out of the spindles to mount my Strange brakes. :???:
