Default LT4 H/I or not?

I haven't wrenched on the car in awhile and was throwing around the idea of installing LT4 heads with LT4 Intake. Do you think the gains would be worth the time and effort?

Current setup:
350 block stock lower end
stock lt1 heads and intake
cc503
1.6rr
comp lifters
comp 918 springs
52mm TB
stock injectors
CA intake
BBK shorty headers
Custom ORY w/magnaflow and cutout

328whp before the exhaust was added.

Do you already have the LT4 heads in your possession? If you do I would sell them for some ported 21 degree tfs heads or get your stockers ported.

For the money you will spend LE has a package that will run circles around the Lt4 kit and have money left over for the tune... do yourself a favor and get some longtubes or some Mac mids.....

No, I saw a set on ebay today and just thought about it. Figured I ask you guys before I did any serious thinking about it.

I will most likely hold off for now and just wait to build an entirely new engine at some point. The current setup is pretty good and sounds awesome. Would love to grab a red C5 z06 but I really don't think I could ever sell this car!

Thanks for the input and yes I know I need some longtubes!

This seems to be the general consensus as far as performance is concerned.

Aftermarket ported>LT4 ported>LT1 ported>stock aftermarket>stockLT4>stock heads

LT4 heads/intake are usually stupid expensive too (for the performance), just as much or more than aftermarket heads sometimes, and definitely more than a set of ported stockers for the heads and cam.

Once you go looking for real world results ported LT1s work better than ported LT4s in many cases.

The ONLY reason I can see wanting them is for an "all GM" show car.

Like he said depending on what you plan on doing I would say just porting stock lt1 heads arnt as good as lt4 but if you go and switch vavles they are about the same
