I run spark plug boots on my MSD 8.5, my headers will fry them if I don't.

Get the heat shielding boots...shouldn't have anymore poblems after that.

IT was my fault - lose header bolts on those primaries. Tightened up, no leak, no more burning.

I went with Granatelli, they even make a High Heat sleave for them although im using factory heat shields on the standard granatelli wires. I think I paid 105 shipped to my door with a lifetime warranty brand new.
