Ok, so here's what's up --

I just bought a 95 with the LT1, and it does not fire. I replaced the optispark, coil, and had the ICM tested (it checked out). I put a light on the harness to the optispark and it lit up on one of the connectors. I am not getting spark from the coil, though.

And I'm not sure if it would light up or not, but I hooked the light to A-D of the ICM harness with the key on, and also trying to fire. Nothing.

It's definitely not getting spark and I can't figure it out, could it possibly be the computer?? Maybe I bought a bad opti, but the AutoZone guy said this rarely happens.

Any suggestions will be taken with great appreciation, I'm stumped.

 

and while searching the forums I found the no start diagnostic...so I will go through that and update whether I figure it out or not. lol

 

May have something to do with vats. Is the security light in the dash on? Also checkout www.shbox.com for some help.

 

Did you find out what the problem was? I seem to have ran into a similar issue on my car last weekend.
