Default Header question

Has anyone put longtube headers on us lt1 and end up have the exhaust hit the bottom of the floor board? If so what did you do to fix it?

Had the collectors and y pipe connection fitted/welded with eBay v-band flanges & bands which corrected the angle and moved the pipe away from the floor 1/2".. all at a muffler shop

I just ran into this same problem after setting my motor in. I have all new mounts with a new UMI k-member. I'm about to try to space the motor mounts with two washers to give a little more clearance, hopefully. It seems that pulling down on the header a bit will help as well, therefore my thought is the extra weight from the exhaust will also pull it down where it needs to be. I will update you with my results when completed, but I would also like too here others opinions as well.

My pacesetter headers are this way. I dropped the trans down 1/4" using washers and i still had to dent the pipe to clear. I got what i paid for. #Junk

My pacesetters JUST touched under the drivers seat, massaged the header/floorboard with a hammer and no more problems.

either this or cut the collector flange off & slip fit everything Im prolly screwed since Ive got a mufflex 4in system lol The Vbands are a nicer install in my opinion But slip fit & the flat band clamps work too I know cuttin up new **** kinda sucks lol
