Default crane227 cam with 987 springs?

Will I have any problems if I run a crane 227 cam with comp 987 springs? I know its a small cam but it's my dd.

Depends on a few things, rocker ratio, installed height, etc. Let us know more info and someone will help.

Well the deal is I might trade a gm847 cam for a crane 227. Iam going to be running 1.6rr and the springs would be installed at 1.8 . I just don't want to trade my cam and also have to buy new springs. thanks.

If they were OK for your 847 cam, then they're sure as heck good enough for a 227. Overkill maybe, but everything will be fine.
