Gotta love those craigslist "built" LT1 ads.....there's a local LT1 for sale with 657 HP supposedly "no reasonable offer refused":

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/pts/3072118706.html

This one is "super fast.. lots of recipes from Doug Herbert racing .. comes with Nos never used .. was fast enough without Nos but was bought to use"

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/pts/3072936905.html

LMAO

http://annapolis.craigslist.org/pts/3085994803.html

Aside from the fact the person who wrote that is either a crook or a raging idiot I would also question if the heads are instead LT4, not a big deal I would rather have LT1 anyway. The intake is likely LT1 since the LT4 was powder coated red.

Also interesting the OP says 94 but the picture shows an opto vent harness and what is probably a delco cap so it might have been converted to a vented opti setup.

Honestly I don't think I would pay but $1600 for the whole car if some of it was salvagable with the engine. The engine setup is a joke.

I cringe every time I try to ask someone about a used LT1 car, you never know what response you will get.

Yea, I almost feel sorry for the OP...the blind leading the blind....pays to do your research before dropping cash on such a questionable build ...if only you came here first to ask questions FIRST; that ad should have been a huge red flag the seller has no earthy idea what he's talking about. Live and learn OP

I saw that ad and thought it was a joke.

OP you got butt raped and your wallet stolen if you paid any more than $500 for that motor.

If your new to the game its best to post a question BEFORE dropping cash than after.

I just followed JuiceLT1z28's post that said there was a similar CL post.
I live near Green Bay so I don't look at Baltimore CL ads too terribly often.

It is sad how many completely tragic builds there are like this though especially given the amount of info available. I mean if whomever built that thing had even followed bad forum advise they could have likely done better.

Also included
New opti distributor
New coil
New ignition module
New spark plugs
New alternator
New water pump
(all of that stuff get pricey if purchased new, id check those things to be sure they are in fact new)
Reminder I'm not tune for the cam, also stock 2.73 in the rear just curious anybody know any 1/4 mile times of this setup??????????

Its hard to say what it will run.

we dont know:
manual, or auto?
tire type?
headers or manifolds?
cold air intake?
exhaust?
any other mods? Ie roller rockers, throttle body, etc...

that picture certainly clears things up.

20$ says its a stock lt1 with a 355 rebuild kit.

And dude wanted a bike for it...Id give him a 120$ huffy from walmart.

TRUTH!!!!!!!! I hate asking anyone about their car that I dont know.

it'll outrun Imperial starships. Not the local bulk cruisers, mind you. I'm talking about the big Corellian ships

But you won't be going anywhere fast if the hyperdrive is broken. Might be able to get you to Bespin.
