Default Radiator crack?

Well after thinking & taking in consideration on what each one of you posted about the TT build, I greatly appreciate the input. I have a lot to soak in. But now theres another problem. Today I got tired of babying my car and drove it like I stole it. Raced a 94 or 95 Cobra and got him on my way home. Once I got home I smelled coolant, popped the hood and found coolant squirting against the pulleys. I started her up again and no squirting. After about 1 hour to let the thing cool I found a small crack right above low coolant sensor. Is it time for a new radiator?

yep, unless you want to spend about the same amount putting a new tank on your old rad... or if you are handy with some JB weld you might be able to patch it for a while.

BTW is there a reason why air doesnt flow into the radiator when on the highway. Like theres no passages and if i created a few would that make any difference in cooling performance? I see that most cars have there rad right behind the grill accessing from cool air from traveling.

That little black air dam under the radiator creates an area of high pressure in front of it, and low pressure behind it. The air then moves through the radiator from the area of high pressure to the area of low. You dont need to cut any holes, that little air dam does it for you.

Stock radiator performs just fine, its actually better than the LS radiators. Just find a used one or go to advance auto., Rockauto is the cheapest.

Im looking at rockauto and theres different brands. What brand was the stock one or would the AC Delco be the best brand?

This happened to me last year. I thought about getting an aftermarket one till someone pointed the obvious, look how long the original lasted.
