Well my car is running, my checklist is getting shorter, all the big things are done. I'm going to keep working tonight to get her done, but tomorrows weather report at 10am will be my deciding factor to make the 12 hour drive IN the Camaro. Valvetrain still has not run more than 5 minutes in the garage, but I'm 74% sure the car can make it there!

Ive bitched out. Took the car around the block, dont feel like I lashed my rockers right because it doesnt feel 100%. Rain forecast sucks, clutch chattered, I just never got time to get a few last minute details I needed to get done before I have to leave in 1 hour. I wish you all the best, hope this stupid hurricane holds off.

Going to have to put it off another year.

What are the chances of getting a road course LTx shootout? Best lap times & Endurance would be an interesting to see. In that case no one would be caught with an electric water pump or else KABOOM!!

there is 1 car offically in outlaw at the moment. it is a 1st gen ltx swapped N/A car on alchohol. But it looks like a few of the MOD N/A and MOD P/A guys are gonna run double duty to make outlaw interesting.

I'll be honest I am dissapointed in some people that said they were going to come but then bailed out at the last minute. Colin and crew did a great job securing sponsors for this year with the intention of impressing them so they will sponsor many more years to come and with the shitty turnout they might not sponsor next year. It is dissapointing.

'd like to see everyone who says they are going to go pre-register as soon as it opens and put your money where your mouth is. It is 1 thing to say online you are going to come and its another to register and commit to it and make the haul out.

With that being said I am giving $50 cash to whoever travels the furthest to the shootout next year 1 way.

Well I did donate to ltxtech who is a sponsor. I'm suprised there is even event for a outdated platform. I hate when people talk **** about people who don't drive 20+ hours for a even that is smaller than my local test and tune. Yes there are some cool ltx folk but there are a few delusional ones who expect everyone should show up.

I'd be willing to bet there are more that would like to chip in on the longest haul award. Might be cool to get a pool going. I'd chip in $10 or $20 towards it.

I promise you I will be there next year. I knew there was no way I could make it this year since it was announced. I haven't been since 2009. I'll find a way to get the car down and race it this time.

I'm also looking forward to ltxtech getting that title sponsorship back I think that's another thing you can bet your hat on.

I've pre registered for the shootout every year so far, the first 3 I brought a friends car down.Last year my car was in body shop prison. This year I ran into last minute issues that didnt get resolved until yesterday and had to make the decision to make the 7 hour drive with a 60-70% chance of rain.I chose not to as I have way too much money tied up in the car to maybe race it.I'm glad that most of the event got off but I feel ok with my decision not to make the drive. I lost $385 in advance paid hotel reservations and 55$ entry fee for that decision. But hope to be able to make it next year.

I don't expect everyone to show up. I just expect the people who say they are going to go next year to actually go.(within reason obviously.) I personally drive 20 hours 1 way to come out from Boston MA and the past 2 years have driven the furthest.

There is nothing like this event and the only reason its small is because too many people have that attitude. "its not worth the trip for 25-50 car race" If everyone changed that attitude it would be a 75-150 car race.

I look forward to next year and if the weather is better i think we will have great car counts.
