Pacesetter longtube headers tapping bottom of car.

Pacesetter longtube headers tapping bottom of car. So I have a 94 z28 A4 and I just installed pacesetter long tubes and deleted the egr crap lol. Well I had my y pipe welded on at the shop and the guy said that there's a piece of the header that taps the bottom of the car. I'm thinking it's the collector that meets with the y pipe. I haven't got under and really looked yet. Has anybody else experienced this problem? If so what did you do to fix the problem? I'm thinking of maybe putting something In-between the header and the bottom. Just seeing if anybody else had this problem. Thanks. dum
most have had that problem right where it is nothched to clear the frame...i installed solid motor mounts and i have plenty of clearance now but b4 those were put in i used a piece`of fuel line with a hanger threaded thru it and wedged that inbetween and tied it up...by the time it actually burnt thru which was several months it had seemed to worked itself enough space to not hit anymore .....might be a cheap rig job to give a try with

A better look? Put ur head down there in the driveway and see where its hitting. I bet it hitting the bolts that stick out of the main part of the frame. Should have had the exhaust band clamped to the headers not welded.

I used a couple of washers between the car and the trans mount. This lowered the rear of the trans and raised the front of the engine slightly. It only took 2 thick washers on each bolt.
