Default Security light ?'s

I recently purchased a 97 WS6 from my buddy and the car has had the security light on now for 4 years and from what i can tell has never affected anything. He bought it with the light on and now it's mine so i would like to figure out how to turn this damn thing off.

Car is completely stock, tried both keys, doesnt matter if you disconnect the battery over night, it is always on. I did notice that when i put the key in the on position it wont allow you to remove the key without starting the car first.

Car doesnt long start or anything, starts right up every time..

Any ideas?

Do the VATS bypass Should turn the light off. The security is in the BCM not PCM!!! Most of the time the security light comes on & not too long after itll leave you Stranded SO do the bypass & call it good The little wires in the keyswitch break all the time. Walked a few people on here threw the bypass!!! Theirs were already to the stranded point!!
