The 93-95 uses a longer hub
96-97 used a shorter hub because of the rectular ring for the cps

You can't tell the length of that hub from the picture, but the pulley is an early one. Since you have a 94 and no CPS, then you need the early hub.

did you use the reluctor ring that goes on behind the timing cover on the 96/97?

if you didnt put the reluctor ring on you have to use the 94 hub, if you used the reluctor you have to use the 96/97hub or cut the 94 hub down the difference of the thickness of the reluctor.

you should be able to find a length for each and then measure yours and find out what you have..

you still need the 94 hub. THe 96 wont work at all or you can shave it down a bit and save your money finding one.

Uhh, wrong. You would have to shave down the EARLY (92-95) hub to work with the reluctor wheel...

OP, like brucer said. If you're using the reluctor wheel, 96-97 hub...

If you're NOT using the reluctor wheel, 92-95 hub. Simple

ok just to clear it up..

94 lt1 camaro, 96-97 style timing cover, vented opti, no reluctor wheel, obd1 lol

from what i understand the snouts are different.. i think this may be the later one.. the earlier (92-95) has the entire end polished..

The only difference is the length from the crank end to the spokes where the pulley bolts on. The year of the timing cover has no bearing on it. What I said earlier still holds true. Early hubs are roughly 0.10" longer.

no your pulley would then be off by .100 at that point so your belt wont line up

Hmm...
I've got a '95 cover (vented opti) '95 hub (not for use with reluctor wheel) and I could REALLY use a '96/'97 cover and hub.

This is a long shot, but if you want to trade out for the right stuff for your car, pm me or something. The cover and hub I have are not going to be used, as I'm going with an lsx computer and no opti.

Please use the early (long) hub like everyone is telling you.

sry about the mix up guys it was late when i was posting.. so i need the longer hub.. well does anyone know how long it is so i can measure it? i wanna make sure that i have the right one to put on.. it think the reason it isnt going on all the way is cause my bolt is too long..

The long hub is 3.519" overall. You also need to make sure you have the correct woodruff key.

It's a risky move to pull the hub on with the bolt.
