I have the 3" Octane Motorsports cowl, with the rib down the middle. I think it looks more aggressive and "Muscle Car" like then the smooth rounded hoods.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fitment - it was only around $400+ shipping but bolted right on to the stock latches and fit surprisingly well.

They are also re-sellers for the Carbon Fiber ViS hoods that came out a couple years ago if that's your thing. 150 bucks extra for CF over fiberglass but its a wider cowl style like on Mustangs and IMO doesn't look as good...

VFN Sunoco Pin on here. Love it. I attempted the dzus rails and it was just a PITA on install so i did 4 hood pins and it came out great. Sunoco is killer and it is only 12lbs. compared to the 40lbs stock hood. Huge weight savings off the front end of the car

Stock latches here.

Less of a hassle to open the hood, and looks cleaner from the outside IMO.

4 hood pins and its sturdy enough? Doesnt flop around at all? When I get mine I was goign to do the dzus but it looks like such a PITA I just want to do 4 pins like you but was afriad it wouldnt be enough.

I like the VFNs or the Harwood products. Don't get the square style 3" type cowl hoods. They don't flow well with the 4th gen body lines at all and look trashy IMO.

a tinyyy bit of flop right at the traps in one of the top corners but thats it and it only happens every so often. On the highway when its windy and im going likr 90mph but thats it. Its surprisingly pretty sturdy i was afraid i'd have to add a couple more pins but it worked out fine.

I agree with the edged cowls not flowing with a firebird, but they look killer on a Camaro.

^I disagree with both of you...I've got an "edged" cowl on my Formula and it flows with the lines on the front end perfect. I get tons of compliments; especially from women and children lol. They don't make them like this anymore lol...American sports car design discontinued them It also sets the car apart from every other fast Firebird with Ram air hoods; that and the paint job lol.
