Finally a year in the making! & another 24x conversion
While the car was down I decided to smooth and paint the engine bay, but modify the radiator support as well to make removing/installing the engine from the top/front a breeze. I lowered the radiator and made it so the ls1 lid would fit without cutting the SS hood. I also relocated the fuse box and went through and thinned out the headlight harness.
As I was painting I decided to strip the bottom of the car and paint it in single stage gloss black. I also Powder coated all my spindles/bolts/brackets etc.
I replaced the home built 8.8 for a QP 9" with aluminum center.
Relocated the coils to the frame rails, and made a custom bracket to keep a/c but move the alternator to the drivers side. Im not done in the engine bay as somethings are still crude but enough to get it going so I could move it out of the garage. Hoping to make it to the track in a couple weeks after some tuning.
