Every time I start my car ,the airbag light blinks 6 times. Does that mean I need to take the ole lady for a ride?

 

I've got that same problem.. Cleaned off all my grounds and problem still persists.

 

Same deal, but I'm missing the box underneath my center console. Anything I can bridge in the connector to turn the light off?

 

Slomaro, I'd say check shbox for a wiring schematic, that will probably help you. Or just buy the box and have working air bags. If you want to just get rid of the light you can pull it out of the back of the gauge console.

I'm curious if this black box could be what's causing the light to go on for cookietime and I? Can I test the box and if so how would I go about doing that?

 

I can get a box for around $30 on eBay but I'm looking for something temporary before I go tearing the gauges out. Shbox is really hit or miss for stuff like this since 93/94-95 and 96-97 had different air bag boxes.
