Guys with converted single planes ..

Whats your gap on the front and rear walls look like?

Thinking its too large for just a bead of RTV to seal, thoughts?

That is quite a big gap. It might seal with a lot of a good quality RTV like "The Right Stuff" if you lay a thick bead, let it partially cure, then set the intake down.

My Supervic had a strip of metal attached to where it meets the china walls to take up that extra space. After all the porting and milling the gap must have been huge, since its a fairly thick strip...you may need something similar. I can take a pic of it if you want.

I don't know if I'd even bother trying to run it like that since a nasty leak there will make a mess of your tranny and headers.

aren't you supposed to use those annoying thick rubber gaskets on the front and back? i personally couldn't get them to seat right cause one side would always squish out

The gaskets for the wall of China always leak so gasket sealer is generally the best choice.A good 1/8" bead will seal that perfectly.

Not sure, I honestly slapped it together in a rush and didn't look.

If I get a chance I will yank it off tonight, wanna throw a fitting through the intake to the valley anyways.

Yea that is quite a gap but The Right Stuff will fix it, I've seen a Top Alcohol motor torn down that had quite a large gap that they filled in the same place with a piece of metal and The Right Stuff.
