Nice runs! If you preload the 10bolt it will last a long time! Mine never broke. Made some noise but never died.

Amazing....... Congratulations. How long does the 10 bolt usually last for you?

10 bolt questions... I actually ground all of the teeth off of my last set of gears about 4 weeks ago. I had another set of 4.10's laying around and slapped them in there. Ran it until the end of the season. I think what kept it alive was that I only launch at 3000. I have a video of it dying on the line

The most I've built was 11.4 psi I make the most power at 5900 rpm.

Thanks guys! Im trying to decide if I am going to install a F1-R supercharger and really get this thing moving. The plan this winter is to cut more weight out and hopefully get down to around 3000lbs. Also I am getting my AFR 210cc heads ported and pairing them with a victor e intake. I wanted to do it little by little so I could see what mod would get me x amount of power increase. What do you guys think?

Your hp from mph vs weight, your ET, and your 60' all correlate VERY closely,
so yes, adding power and reducing weight are the next logical moves.
You could eek a little more out of it by really fine tuning the launch, but with the 10-bolt, I think efforts there may be "counterproductive"

It lasted until about a month ago and shredded the gears. I had a set laying around and put those in.

COMPLETELY different 10-bolt from yours!
We have GM "corporate" 10-bolts (8.5" ring gear) holding up in 9 and 10 sec B-bodies all over the place.

Oh yes, I am aware. That is why what he did was so impressive. I still have stock 28 spline axles in mine, that is how I am pushing my luck. I just ordered a 30 spline differential and some Mosers.
