Default Engine identification
How can i tell if my engine is an lt1 or an ls1 ? Its a 2002 z28 camaro 5.7 ltr. Thanks for the help.

If it is the stock motor, it would be an ls1. Pop the hood and look at it, then google pics of the engines... they look completely different.

whats an l99 ?

it looks like the ls1 as far as the black top cover of the engine ?

It's an LS1......98-02 f-bodys had them.

LS1 on the right.

LS1 exhaust ports are evenly spaced. LT1's center two are right next to each other.
