Default Instant center and pinion angle

I have the BMR th400 crossmember that allows you to adjust the instant center. I also have a adjustable tourq arm. I'm guessing that every time you change the instant center on the crossmember you would have to readjust the pinion angle? Or am I wrong? What is a good starting point on the crossmember t.a. mount (top, bottom,or middle)? One of the guys from bmr said the higher the harder it hits but for a shorter amount of time and the lower the softer it hits but for a longer amount of time.

Depending on how big the change is yes you would need to adjust it.

No its not. Bring your tools with you. Get 4 rhino ramps and set up pit in the most level spot your can find. Read all the stickies in the drag racing section. Lots of useful info there.

Yes you can adjust on the fly at the track thats what the cross member is designed for. after you find the sweet spot reset you PA and you will most likely never change it again unless you change something radical in the setup.

You can do an easy check & determine now much you have to adjust the pinion angle for each setting.... like moving up 1 hole & adding 2 turns on the pinion angle adjuster nut. Then you do not have to recheck at the track.
