i don't feel like stuffing a BBC between the framerails. as well this is and will always remain a somewhat radical pump gas friendly street car!!!

BBC is the way to go if you want a street friendly motor that is pump gas friendly and not super radical. I always though my 565 from my race car would of made a bad *** street motor if you changed the cam, pistons, intake manifold, and put a dry sump oil system on it.

yeah well you are just silly i say!

fergy,

still alot cheaper for me to either A) rebuild my spare block B) sell some parts and build an ridiculous Gen 1 SBC C) sell everything and build an LSwhat........

options B would take some time to complete, option C would take even more time to complete, lol!!!

Depends how fast you want to go. I just sold my motor for $13,700 and it was fresh and has been well into the 6s. You could buy something like that an adapt it for street use. You would need a 25.3 chassis in the car to really put it to use though

BBC would be my next platform if/when my current motor goes. It's just hard to beat the extra cubes for a pump gas friendly street monster. With what some of us have in our 600-700hp "racecar" LT1s, we could be sitting pretty with 100 more hp, more reliable, AND better street manners in a similarly priced BBC.

Wouldn't be in a fourth gen though. More like a first gen body on a modern chassis/subframe. As much as I'd love a brand spanking new ZL1 or ZR1, that would be my true dream car right there...a BBC first gen with all the retro looks but modern ride and handling.

Talk about Lamborghini dreams with a Pinto budget eh?.

that answer to a BBC is an LSwhat! especially if you want to build an all motor application. again just my .02.

then again i love beating up on ls cars whenever given the opportunity.
