Intense gas odor when heater is on.
My fuel lines are good. I see sweat around different components. My guess is the charcoal canister. Just where is it? Unless I'm wrong. Happen to anyone else? Oh 94 formula

But the odor is coming in when the heater is on. So the car stinks when I'm on warming up in the a.m.. I guess before I went digging around. Wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen or what could be around that to cause that.

Not completely sure if yours looks like this being that it's a 94, but if it does, check the evap purge solenoid. It's not supposed to open until the car is warm but if the canister breaks up the little bits of charcoal can keep it open.

I'll have to check that. It's not a super big deal to me. It's that I take my 2 year old to daycare in the morning at well you get it. Stupid question. But is it repairable or would have to replace?

Oh plus may be related or may not. But during cold cycle. Sometimes I get a backfire pop almost. Almost like I'm to advanced in timing. But there has been no changes to my ecu settings. Temp sensor?

No check engine light or anything?
A temp sensor can definitely cause a host of problems. I had an intermittent cranking issue I was chasing forever and it was that sensor.
If the solenoid is clogged you can blow it out with compressed air. If it has charcoal in it that means you need to replace the canister though.

Is your car outside or in a garage when you smell this? If your Cat is near gone, its going to smell like its running pig rich and smell like fuel. I dont know how old you are but in the old days that is the way cars smelled! I dont have a Cat on my race car and it smells rich when I start it up first thing.

32 my man. Parked outside. My truck has no cats and 3" straight pipe and I don't smell that. But I see what your saying. Thanks for the heads up. I guess its stuff I was guessing on. Just needed confirmation. Oh and no engine light.
