LT1 Loud squealing when you step on the gas

Every time the cat collapsed on my car, it was pretty much not drivable. It never squealed, but there were always small, metallic flakes from the catalyst coming out of the exhaust. The exhaust manifolds would get a nice glow to them also if you let it run for any significant amount of time.

LOL yes it made a mess of the belt I was sitting at a gas station when mine happen. And I had a cat clogged before and I never heard a squeak or sequel. It ran like crap and it did glow

It was definitely the catalytic converter. She grenaded into a bunch of little pieces and clogged. Its amazing how badly that can affect a car. I've never had it happen before but she runs fantastic now. Still plan on doing some other upgrades like the ignition and ****.
