TURBO LT1 winter build, tons of pics inside!! Hey fellas, well this thing is getting closer and closer to being done, trying to go mid 9's this year on the 6 speed (@9000 ft)
last year with a stock bottom end and some ported lt4 casting and a custom hyd roller on 9 psi it went 11.86 @ 120 on bald street radials and a clutch rated to 450hp (600rwhp on 9 psi) full street trim with spare tire and jack still in the trunk.
the interior is staying intact but no more spare and jack lol not doing too much weight reduction. front and rear supports are gone already.

yea they were laying around so i used em to cover up the heads, i wont be using those, i have some fabricated aluminum ones when the motor goes in, the motor in the pics is a mock up motor, just a block with my heads bolted to it.

Subscribed, totally badass build and you should run alot faster than 9's with your setup. I'm in the process of doing a turbo build myself, so I'll be following your build closely. Are your injectors high impedence and why 160#'s also what are you using for engine management? What rear gear are you running with your 6 spd as I'm also using the 6 spd?

yes i will be using high impedence as i will be using the factory obdI efi system lol 160's are what i will need to make the power i want on E85 at this altitude.
i run a 3.25 gear like i was using last year. sorry i didnt post gears that was a smooth move. lol

well after countless attempts to run a 4.5" exhaust under the car with out rattling my head off i said because RACECAR! hahaha its going to be decently loud but thats part of it at this level i guess.

Thanks for the info, I have an S60 rear so the tallest gear I can get is a 3.54 and I'm going to be running pumpgas since E85 isn't readily available in my neck of the woods. I just dropped my engine off at the machineshop today to get some upgrades then comes the boost, also what all did you have done to your T56 to withstand the power?

I just dropped my engine off at the machineshop today to get some upgrades then comes the boost, also what all did you have done to your T56 to withstand the power?
nice, yea we have about 2 e85 stations around my place then about 10 spread over the metro city so i can usually make it if i need to fill up.
as far as the trans goes nothing but shift forks, its been under 650 rwhp for a while now, wasnt on slicks so we will see how far she gets me, i have a buddy here with a 408 88mm ls trans am 1092rwhp on a bone stock t56 on slicks has gone a best of 10 flat. its been i think a solid year and a half and nothing has gone wrong. i figure ill give it hell and see what happens, but if it breaks, hellooooo turbo 400!
