I bought my 67k mile A4 formula for $5,800 when it was 12 years old and had several comperable f-bodys to pick from when I bought it. Just try to find me one car that meets these credentials since you know how to shop and I don't:
2000-2002 car (11-13 years old)
Clear title
1-2 owners
Always garaged
Never been in snow/salt
Stock or just very lightly modded
Under 70k miles
In your $6k price range
Most everything with those credentials will be over $10,000.

Again, I feel like I need to restate that I'm not knocking the LS1 4th gens. They have their place too, and plenty of advantages. Most people don't even take them to their true potential though.

I did not intend for this to be a LT1 vs LS1 thread. Just wanted to share my experience on going to a performance shop and get some opinions from people that know LT1s inside and out and have worked on them over the years.
Me personally I know a little about them. However I will be the first to admit I am no master mechanic on them.
