Default Gears for Nitrous

I have been debating on adding some nitrous and I will be getting an S60 here shortly.

So the question is 4.10s or something else?
I have a M6.
Also don't plan on a crazy shot of nitrous.
100 to start maybe set up to 200. Won't go pass 200 though.

What size tire? Full weight car?

26" tire I will be running.

Weight, haven't gotten to the scales yet.
Have removed over 100lbs.
Probably going to remove seats to racing seats, but have a cage that weighs about 80lbs I need to put in.

So I would say anywhere from 3300 - 3600, if I had to guess.

Keep in mind what you plan on the car trapping and what rpm you'll run it to. With my Z28 I ran out of gear on a 26" tire when I sprayed and I had to get taller tires.

Well according to the calculator,

4.10 on 26" in 4th at 6000 is 113.
4.10 on 28" in 4th at 6000 is 122.

The fast guys dont gear their nitrous cars for redline as it goes through the traps... That's a N/A way of thinking that one needs to get away from when spraying a healthy shot of nitrous.

If you truly plan on working up to a 200 shot of spray you need to remember nitrous makes TORQUE. You need to utilize that tq so that the car is accelerating all the way down the track, not just revving to the moon...

I say 3.90 with a 26" tire or 4.10 with a 28" tire. JMO

What are guys running for 15in rims?

I have 17s currently on the car and MT Streets are made in a 17in for a 28" tire.

I thought I read somewhere in order to fit 15in rims you have grind the calipers, on the cheaper rims.

EDIT:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3745r/overview/

These say they are 28/11.5/17 but it says its really 27.19"

Just know that the gear ratio while it needs to be considered, there are alot of other factors you need to think about before adding nitrous. Do you have the fuel system to handle it? What kind of nitrous kit will you be running? Will your motor handle a 100-200 shot? What exhaust is on the car to allow the extra air flow the nitrous will create?

I ran a speedtek plate on my LT1 (single plane setup) and Ive ran a nozzle setup before that all with great success with a 28 tall tire and a 4.10 gear. Id also reconsider the S60 thing, heavier than a 12bolt which is what I run. I was getting 1.34-1.36 60s but through a stalled auto with 4.10s.

I believe the only 15" rims that don't require caliper grinding are from Billet Specialties.
If you go with 4.10s they'd be great on the street and with a 28" tire you wouldn't be limited at the track, Gregrob knows spray!
When you order your S60 be sure to have Strange weld on some BMR lca relocation brackets, they only charge you the retail cost of the brackets, it's like getting them welded on for free.

I have BMR LCAs, relocation brackets, panhard bar, true dual exhaust, headers, have a Mallory 685 box to put in, just put in a Walboro 255, running 6an lines as we speak plus a hotwire kit. I have Tunercats and Datamaster.

I think I am going to pick up a set of stock salad shooters and mount my slicks on them.

It will look funny but who cares. Till I get more money.

Slicks will make a big diff in the first 60ft.
