If you're swapping out single springs the KD tool that shbox uses on his 'how to' tutorial works good. I saw Jegs has a estimated availability date on the Crane tool of Feb 20.

I don't think the KD tool works on double springs if you can't hook the inner spring with the tool.

Some people have modified the lever type tool sold at auto part stores to work like tims tool also.
