3010 with no cutting, only a driver seat, gage cluster zip tied to the firewall, no carpet or HVAC, no AIR, magnaflow bullet after the Y, rod ended mild steel rear suspension, mild steel BMR torque arm and UMI relo mount, 9" with spool, salad shooters on all 4 corners, and a TON of thick built up grime and dirt all over the underside of the car.

My T-Top auto TA is listed as 3480 on the title, now probably 3400. Some weight reduction, but some weight added back on. They are heavy for F-bodies because of the body kit, spoiler, and usually higher optioned interior.
Hardtop auto 93 Camaro was listed as only 3350, ~3200 now. Bit more aggressive weight reduction on this one, although it still has full carpets, radio, airbags, bumper supports, and door bars. Hoping to get it down to ~3100 tops with a cage.

all scales are certified by the state even them little scales in the supermarket. next time you're buying your fruits and veggies take a look there will be a decal on it stating the last time it was certified. so there is no need for a second opinion if you're going to a scrap yard, truck stop, or any other public scale.

as the owner of a private sanitation company here in new Jersey with over 150 trucks and five heavy scales yes that sticker means a lot. once a year the bureau of weights and measures comes down and spends an entire day certifying my scales. if the scales are not correct on there weights you can and will get a hefty fine for it (trust me i know). now for your comment about the scales being of at two scrap yards if they are using two separate scales for a gross and net weight then yes you will lose or get extra money depending on which scale is wrong. if you're ever unsure just ask to weight out on the same scale then in wont matter how much its off. you can always call and make a complaint about the weights being of and i can guarantee you someone will be there by the end of the week to inspect there scales

I don't doubt that there are some states that take that stuff seriously, but not all of them....OR I should say not every part of them.
The two I mentioned being about 300# different was weighing a Truck, car trailer, and car....on both scales....the same day....within a half hour of each other as they were about 10 miles apart. This was done with several cars all on the same day. The reason for this was:
The cars (17 classic Chevrolets) were stolen from me where I had them stored on my hunting property....then they were sold to a scrap yard....where I found and recovered them. Most of the cars were damaged so bad in being moved and pushed around at the yard without any care (this was not a junkyard that sells parts, but a scrap metal yard) that I ended up just scrapping them myself. The yard who bought them from the theif would not give me anything for them as he said he didn't want to "lose money twice on the same car" So I took them from his yard to the other one. His logic was crazy as he was out of the $$ he paid for the cars anyway....plus by releasing them to me he made zero profit. If he had paid me scrap price for them he would have at least got to make whatever his profit margin is.
Anyway...they were weighed while exiting his place....and reweighed at the next. The 2nd place was the one which showed MORE weight....so that worked out in my favor by a few bucks per car. The towing fees for the day was about $400 so I was out that.....plus all the damages. They caught the guys and locked them up, but I never got a penny from their broke dope head selves. I sadly lost two 1966 Impala SS's, a 1959 Sedan Delivery, two 1961 Chevrolets, and a 1970 Nova among many others that day. Measures have been taken to help that not happen again.

Can anybody please post a pic of GVW sticker n Door?
I went to read mine & it's so faded that I can't read it.
Mine is a 1996 z28 automatic hardtop car.
I went to a truck stop once & weighed it & it came in around 3300 with me in it.
I weigh 220. It was LT1 powered with Pace Setter Longtube Ceramic header & y pipe, LT4 hot cam, bullet muffler after the y pipe at the time on C5 Vette wheels.
Now I am Turbo lsx/TH400/9.5" converter/light weight radiator, light weight AC condenssor, tubular Jegster TA/tubular LCA, B&M Pro Stick, dual trans coolers, forged Aluminum Drive Shaft, removed a few things here & there with a fiberglass hood. I will weigh in after it's popped off again.
I am uncertain how accurate that is considering that they are used to weighing x0,000 pounds of trucks & it was a single platform scale.
In a perfect world I would like to be 3000-3100 street trim all day every day.
I guess it's just a dream.
LOVE THE LT1 CAMARO!!!!
