Default Fuel Filter replace help

So im using this link as a guide http://shbox.com/1/fuel_filter.html

I ordered a new fuel filter from summit and its a FRAM

But have a problem. The cap on the schrader valve is gone. Found out is has been missing since ive had the car. Could this be a fuel pressure problem and can I still go ahead and replace the fuel filter without any harm?

Where can I get a new cap for the schrader valve???

The cap just keeps the valve clean. It does not seal the fuel system. Tons of GM FI cars have that cap.

If the car hasnt ran for a few hours then it wont have pressure then you can replace the fuel filter with out getting sprayed with fuel. Like shbox said the cap is only as important as the cap on your valves for your tire.

Yeah the cap is just a cap. Same principle as the Schrader valves on your tires.
