Default Lt1 twin walbro 450's loosing fuel pressure under boost, need assistance!!!

hey fellas,

well i installed twin 450's on the stock carrier, they go into a magnafuel y block to the top and then go to the front like usual. i have one 450 on the stock harness, and the second one is on its own wiring harness to a hot wire harness that is activated off a 7 psi hobbs switch.

fuel system consists of 450's to 3/8 bard to -10 y block then -10 all the way to the rail into aeromotive rails with 105# injectors, then to an aero regulator with a 1:1 ref.

all is hooked up no leaks, and at idle pressure sits constant at 50psi, then as i get into boost, the second pump kicks on (i have a indicator light in dash) and pressure goes from 50 psi to 30 psi at 12 psi of boost . . . . .

checked to make sure both pumps are fully submerged and everything, made sure pumps werent being blocked.

cant figure this out, any ideas???

Do the pumps run off of separate power wires? Maybe voltage is dropping when the second pump kits on

X2^ on this one
I run a areo 340 on my DSM with 2150 FIC with the pumps you have they will draw alot(the walbro) my power supply is 6awg wire with a rely that is active by the old fuel pump (stock) wiring. it makes a big difference. my 2c
try pushing 10psi of air to the vac port on the AFPR at idle and see what that gets you while metering the amp draw of your power supply to the pumps.

You ether have voltage drop to the pumps or your running out of pump. If you have a meter with min/max like a fluke you could hook up to the power wires and check the drop. I had to go to a 16v system for my eliminator pump to keep up.

both pumps are on hot wire kits one is powered by a 8 psi hobbs switch. but i figured it out, the regulator was faulty, the ball seat was all messed up, i used a counter sink bit and touched it up and now it holds like a champ! crazy that reg is 2 months old and had some goofy machining work going on inside . . .

How was it getting both pumps through the hole? Did you have to stagger them? I was considering running two, but decided to just try one with a 255 for now since I knew that setup would fit and I should be able to meet my power goal with one of each. Still haven't put it in the tank yet, but will do it soon.
