Default 93 t56 in 94 camaro?

Im about to do a t56 swap in my camaro and I'm wondering if the 93 trans will go right in? I know I need to get the M6 program on the PCM.. But I been reading the speedo hook up may be different from the 93 to the 94? Any one able to help me? Thank you!

93 T56 is a bit of a misnomer, 93s had either the M28 or M29. As for speedo hook up, wish I could help.

I actually did a similar swap. I ditched the 3.4l M5 from my 94 to a lt1 from a 94 and a t56/M28 from a 93. I didn't have any real issue with the transmission working or bolting up just some clutch issues (misread torque specs). However, the computer needed tuning for that particular transmission to fix the speedometer (along with other engine upgrades). When it read 10mph I was doing 18 and and at 35 I was doing nearly 75. Once i got the computer re-tuned for the M28 I was good to go.

Thank you. Basically I read up on the computer tuning and plan to ship it to PCM 4 Less, but I'm just making sure the connectors will be I. The the trans for the speedo/reverse lockout since I know 93 was an odd ball year with the mechincal speedo etc. Any other tips would be great, but otherwise thank you guys a bunch for the answers!

And since I have the whole 93 camaro. I'm gonna pull the engine, tranny and reared. The interior is all ripped up so that's useless, the body is dented/ rust spots so I'm parting it out.
Anything else worth money/use on my 94 camaro that I should take off before I take it to the scrapyard?

Everything is identical electronically to 94+ T-56s. There is no mechanical speedometer. The '93 ECM doesn't control the VSS like the '94+ PCM. But the sensors are the same and will plug right in and work with any '94+ car. But like said, you will just have to tune your car to compensate for the different gear ratio of either the M29 or the M28 (whatever you have). A '93 car will need a speedometer calibration box to compensate for gear changes, tire changes, etc but you won't have to do that.

One plus with the '93 trans is the lack of the CAGS (Skip Shift) solenoid. So you don't need the by-pass or anything.

FYI, '93 camaro interior parts are rare in their own way because of the yellow lettering. I would salvage what is good and sell those parts for '93 camaro owners who need some spare or replacement parts since they are hard to find.

It's a M28 car so it has the low low first gear (3.36) that's why I'm planning running 3.73 gears in the rearend instead of 4.10s

Good idea, thats what I did when I had my original T-56. It was an M29 but still.

Yes, you do. The PCM still looks for the resistance in the solenoid itself, even when tuned out. At least that's what happens with OBD2. I had to use a resistor to simulate the solenoid being there to avoid a check engine light.
