Well my vibration has moved from 80 to 90+ now. I adjusted the pinion angle to -1* from 0* and adjusted the tightness of the u joint bolts. So will adjust the pinion angle further.

i always just have tightened hand tight so it doesnt come loose

Mine didn't come with lock washers as they are nylon locking nuts. So tightening by finger will not work. What I did was tighten it to the u bolt was snug then went 1/8th turn more.

Also just found out my transmission is point up. Going to change the engine mounts and trans mount as they are factory mounts.

Angle finder on the crank pulley. Has angle to the left of the 0 which means its pointing up.

Just came across this.

Was just thinking about it. In order to have a negative pinion angle you have to have a positive trans angle. Because the angles are suppose to be the same but opposite. So a 2* opposite is -2*. 1* is -1*.

I am going to borrow a set of wheels.
My set when I took them off and rolled them on the driveway wobbled.
Discount when I had tires mounted told me they were bent, I thought they just wanted a sale as I never had the vibration before.
But new rear end, torque arm and suspension now probably transfers the vibration better, than just absorbing it.

Will find out when I borrow some wheels.

My 98' TA has a similure issue, in Park or nuturle i can rev the car and she shakes, in drive she starts to have that shake around 60-70 and increeses with speed. i changed out the trans mount no change. Only one or two people have mentioned the Motor mounts. When i do my headers i plan on doing the motor mounts as well. Has any one with this issue changed out the motor mounts?

somewhere i read that if the drive shaft is not aligned correctly it can cause vibrations. It was something about the degree of the trans u-joint vs the differential u-joint(i wish i could remember that). I doubt this is it but are your rear tires balanced?

I had a similar issue, and it only started after I changed my clutch/had my flywheel resurfaced. My symptoms were similar in nature.

Is it possible your clutch isn't releasing all of the way or was not torqued properly in a star pattern causing uneven contact points with the flywheel?

Just wondering

My all stock 94 six speed car did this really bad at 80, new torque arm mount and it was a little better. It's been so long since I've driven my 95 I can't recall if it does it or not, but I have been following this for a while now.

Just a side note to everyone about tires, if it IS that you will feel it in your seat not just when the car is in neutral or on decel. (if it's back tires only that is)

If it were tires, it definitely would only be speed dependent. If it happens on only coast/accel it's something related to the rest of the drive train.

Did you check to see if any of the axle flanges were bent? I know that is kind of out there, but I am just throwing anything out there as a possible cause. Sometimes you have to check the weirdest parts only to find out it was something you would never expect.
