GMMG had to send me new hangers for my car (LT1s use different hangers than LS1s)
Pretty sure its just the 98-02 rear hanger on the pass side that I had to replace (the LT1 hanger is not the same)

My factory exhaust bracket was the same on my 95 as the slp bracket was on my lm2, it came off a 2000 SS. I still swapped it over anyhow, but it bolted up perfectly. The GMMG should too being it was used on so many fbody cars.

My gmmg I bought did not bolt up. They had to send me an LS1 bracket (when you order from GMMG, they specifically ask if you have an LT1 car or not so they can send you the bracket)

I'm pretty sure this is what GMMG provides for LT1 cars. It's been awhile since I installed my exhaust, but they forgot to include the hanger kit, and when I called them I'm pretty sure this is what they sent.

I guess some people also use this kit if they are running stock manifolds

I only needed the hangers because I installed headers at the same time I did the exhaust.

Thanks for the info guys I got a couple hangers off a 98 and 96 from the yard. I haven't tried to bolt it up yet but I will sometime this weekend. And I can't see myself taking it to a shop and paying. I will have to buy a u-bend and fab up the rest of the I pipe. I might be selling the GMMG tips and use my Hooker tips. I also have dynomax bullets with turndowns that I need to get rid of. I cant wait to hear it for myself.

I did as a matter of fact today, but I only bolted the rear section up because I still need to order a new Y-pipe and weld the I-pipe to finish it off. I will definitely keep you posted.

I think what he meant is that GMMG sends the SLP LT1 brackets/hangers to people with LT1 cars. I guess the exhaust will work with stock LS1 hangers, but not stock LT1 hangers. That's my understanding anyway. I know they provided LT1 specific hangers when I bought the exhaust.

This. sorry I sounded silly. If they send you just GMMG, it is supposed to hang right on the STOCK LS1 hangers. You have to tell them you have an LT1 car, and they will send you a new driver's side hanger (ls1 style)
