Default Another IAC drill mod question

So I have been trying to balance out my BLM's and have decided to do the IAC drill mod, I've done this once before but a few changes in the motor is requiring for me to step up the size of the hole. So I noticed that just behind the TB opening on the manifold there are two holes that seem to connect the plenium to that of the "isolated" IAC circuit. Just curious, but wouldn't these holes defeat the purpose of this. I purchased the intake were it had been ported and had other work done to it, so is it possible these holes were added or are they on everyone else's? I'm contemplating tapping and plugging them, however I would prefer not to remove the intake again. Any thoughts?

Ok here's a pic of what I'm looking at. Not sure if this is going to the IAC passage or if it is something to do with the EGR system.

pic doesn't work, though that might be because I don't have a FB account.
