It's a sad day. Chris was way too young to pass away. I genuinely wish his family all the best.

Sad news.
Was hoping to see the car going again after all the work.

RIP Chris.

I think the car is 100% running.

He loved that '96. It has super low miles, and he loved working on it. I hope that his family, Larry H, Bob K, whomever take it down the 1320 at least one more time.

He was a good friend for 16 years.

This is very sad! Just read this post and my heart sank. I've known him from reading post's. He was a really good guy and will be missed in the LT1 community.

I vote the shootout this year and for years to come should be named the "Sikora Shootout" in his honor.

At K.C for LTX Shoot Out when I met him for the first time I was stoked when he knew my name. Here was this guy I looked up to since I was 16 and he knew who I was. In 03 I was 19 or so and I was at a Thunder Shoot Out Race and I had the copy of GM High tech when his car was on the cover, I brought a Sharpie marker hoping he would sign it. I love the 4th gen cars and guys like Chris kinda become like sports figures you really look up to them. Those guys showed people what a 4th gen platform could do.

I do remember a kid asking for autographs at the thunder shootout, was that you?

Chris loved the LTX and LSX scenes, he was hoping to put some friendly pressure on Stefan by running his car.

No, I just wanted Chris to sign my GM High Tech. He stayed fairly active over all these years, I was glad he kept the car and did the turbo set up on it. Shame he never got to run it.

This is Jamie chris's daughter. We would like everyone to know that his wake will be on Monday April 15th from 3pm-9pm and his service will begin on Tuesday at 10am all at Countryside Funeral Home in Bartlett. We would appreciate if everyone that knew him and has any photos please post them to his fb pageso we can put them on display along with his pride and joy his car. He was very proud of his car and we would hate to not have it or any of his friends not there. And PLEASE, if at all possible we are sure Chris would want the loudest funeral around so please bring your cars in his honor, to make him proud

Fellow gearheads, LTX, LSX, 4th gen enthusiasts, if you can please help out the Sikora family with the challenges ahead. He didn't have much life insurance and was the primary earner in the family.

If you can do anything, please help 'em out. I suspect his wife Mary will eventually with help try to sell stuff off but my understanding is that the burial expenses will be near $10,000.

God bless,

John Ryan
