Default p0336 need help

Had a shop change timing cover gaskets and oil pan gasket. Now code p0336. High idle at 0mph. Runs real lean at wot. They put a new accel opti in. I recently changed to richporter opti hoping to fix the issue. No help. Changed crank sensor. No help. Also changed ignition module. No help. 96 firebird formula. 6 speed.

Was there no P0336 before the timing cover/oil pan work? Maybe they did not put the reluctor back in. High idle could be a vacuum leak.

The TPS does not control idle. The IAC does.

I have found if the TPS is out of whack it will influence idle. That was with an adjustable TPS though...

Well I would assume vacuum leak or tps but it idles normal while coasting with the clutch pressed. Tps voltage is smooth as butter and shows 0% on autotap datalogger. I can't see iac steps though on the datalogger

Would the reluctor missing cause these issues?

But it does not control it as was stated. If the reading was so far out that the engine thought there was more throttle, then it might cause a fueling change.

OP you might have more that one thing going on, given that there was recent work done on the car. The crank sensor won't [shouldn't] affect performance.
