Question Is this a "real" OEM GM optispark?

Is this a real oem non-remanufactured optispark? seems like a pretty good deal to me?

Keep looking on ebay. I got EXTREMELY lucky and got a brand new 1993/1994 ACDelco Opti for $75 on ebay.

Yes they are. Delphi made them for GM. The one you posted is the supplier i have been buying from for several years. Not for the same cars.Lol They supply the real deal. Never had any problems with their opti's.

I wanted to order this but it says it fits a 96 Z28 but not a 97 Z28. I thought those years used the exact same opti? What gives?

For a replacement opti that is used on an LTCC car, would a genuine replacement be the best choice?

Yes it would be the best option to use OE, due to OE parts using the
Mitsubishi optical sensor (best one available).

What are your opinions on the Summit brand opti and the accel brand? They are considerably cheaper and I understand you get what you pay for.

And as stated, I don't actually need this for spark, just for the sensor to send a message to my LTCC box.

If they were free, most people would still advise against them.

What kind of opt is on the car right now? Is the sensor. or some other component, bad.

OEM Delco Optis only. This is for quality of all parts inside.

It has the stock opti. It was breaking up, bucking and stalling badly 18 months ago before we pulled the motor. I have since eliminated the ICM and Coil and converted to the LTCC kit. We got the car started up and running fine, but once the car warms up, it starts acting up again.

We installed a summit opti that a friend of mine had got from the Summit scratch and dent sale. Once we installed that, the car wouldn't even start.

SOOO... I just ordered a brand new Delphi opti from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow. There is nothing else to my knowledge that could be causing this. It can't be the LTCC or coils because it was doing the same things before and after the LTCC install. The only thing left would be the opti.
