LT1 vs BMW E90 330I Was of my good friends just bought an 2006 330I automatic and he is convinced he’ll kill me in a race. He bought the car yesterday and we both want to race next weekend from a dig and a roll. Our cars are both stock. My exhaust & Headers should be arriving sometime this week and will be installed after next weekend. Let me know who should win. If he had an M3 he would beat me for sure. But I think the 330i’s have an inline 6. Cant wait to embarrass his German Engineering. By the time im done hitler will be

should be close, driver will defietley determine a good portion of it though. Regardless of how well maintained the car is the lt1 is still pretty ancient and has most likley lost a couple of ponies from the factory

Yeah the tires have lots of tread left. There Nitto Invo 275/40 ZR18’s (Y) speed rating. They have about 5,000 miles on them. I spin from at dig at WOT when tires are not warmed up. When warmed up I spin just a lil from rocked stick to the tires sometimes so its sometimes hard to level it out.

I beat my buddies 335ci 6 speed, thats the 300hp twin turbo. all i have done is tune, intake, catback and free mods. i hook good with koni shocks and kumho escta XS tires. it was a close race neck and neck but i pulled him by about a half a car up to 180kms/hr. i think you should stomp a 330 ive never seem one of them run less than 14.8 in the 1/4 unless your buddie is a wicked driver.

Update: Raced my friends Bimmer saturday from a dig and a roll. From a dig he jumped a car length due to a little spinning but killed him by 1 car length every time at around 70 mph. From a 40 roll killed him by 2-3 cars to 120mph. Even did a top speed race and embarrass him 153~mph while he was limited to around 140~ with bone stock LT1
Headers & exhaust (Kooks LT’s, True Duals Dynomax bullets X-pipe, No cats) just arrived today(Kooks) & yesterday(dynomax) and ready for instal. About how much power & torque should I gain along with times? Its going to be tuned by a local shop..
