Default Another is my car slow at the track?

So the more digging around I do I'm seeing bolt on cars go much faster than what mine did for it's first time at the track.

The car
Pacesetter race LT's and ORY
SLP lid swap
Full a/c delete
SLP LM2
3:73's
No air/egr/evap
Stock 4l60E no stall or shift kit
Shitty 6 year old street tires
Koni's on all 4 corners (super old)
No tune yet

Car ran good and very consistent but just did not have the speed I was expecting. I was hoping for something closer to a 13.0 give or take a little. Car pulled really good 60 ft times all day long, from a 2.0x on the first pass to consistent 2.1's with about 24 psi of air. Tires we're old Goodyear Eagle GT all seasons 245's.

Here are the best 2 passes back to back the car made, nothing slower than a 13.8 that day. It was 80+ and a track da of 1800+

Get a stall and a tune and you'll be running really good times. I would be okay with that if that were my bolt on car. The tune should help you a good bit though.

Bone stock back in 1994 my A4 2.73 94 Z ran 13.9's at a little less than 100mph.

60ft 2.0 to 2.10
1/8 9.0 to 9.1
MPH 79.0
1/4 13.9X
MPH 99.5X

Figure you picked up 30hp over stock with your mods, meaning your MPH and E.T is about right for the power your making. 60ft should be 1.9 to 2.0 with the 3.73's Reduce the 60ft time and E.T will follow. MPH will stay the same. 13.3X would be a good time for your setup.

My old 97 WS6 with LT's, ORY, LM2, Yank SS3600, 3.73s, and 275/40/17 MT DRs ran a 13.024@103.33 in ~2700DA back in the day

I'd say your numbers are pretty standard depending on the DA

Your numbers look good to me, getting that '60 foot down will help your ET. A tune could get you some more HP and improve the mph.
I trapped 101.2 with headers, 4.10, cai and tune, FWIW.

OH, and to improve your RT leave when you see the last yellow.

A new set of tires is in order this year, as well as a tune. I know the car had a misfire issue when it left the track making me think it has more in it. Just does not feel like it pulls as hard up top as it should. Cheap plug wires I think we're one big mistake, anyhow it's got new o2's and actual extensions so after my tune and tires I'll take it back. Next year I'll order a stall to go with the H/C setup I want to do.

Thanks for everyone's input!

For the nearly bald tires it has I was happy with 2.0 but was hoping for 1.9's. Drag radials and susp. work are on the list to be done this year. All in small steps. It's just my DD for now.

get you some MT drag Radials and try it again.

Are you just punching it from a idle or trying to foot brake it some ?

I tried both, it pulled the only 2.0 with a little foot braking, like maybe 1200 rpms. Anything more and it would want to spin.

Those 60s are well within range for stock trans/converter and street tires. Imo your times are also about right. My times are just over 4 tenths off from yours in the same DA bone stock with the exact same 60 ft with a bit of spin.

I bet with new tires it will pull 1.9's all day with a possible 1.8 with good track prep. I'm going to pick up some BFG Sport Comp 2's. I'll take it back once I get a tune on it, now that I know there is no misfire either.

I should have weighed mine at the track just to see what it was at. But I have a basline to work off from now and it's not as bad as i thought. I'll get it back and see what happens here soon ish.

When I did LTs I really didn't feel the power increase in the SOTP-o-meter until I did a tune. Get a tune and you'll be low 13s, 3600 stall and you'll be high 12s

Just have to get the funds in order for a tune and tires, plus I have a tiny oil leak on the front of the motor to fix. Probably pan gasket, just working the little bugs out of the car for now. I'll work on getting a stall and other stuff over winter while it's in storage.
